About us
It started with a simple question
What would it take to make sure a family near us didn't go hungry this month? The answer was smaller than we expected: a food pack, delivered by someone who cared. Alif Foundation grew from there, into water, school fees, medical bills, shelter and emergency help.
Today people from many countries give through us. You choose the campaign, and you tell us whether it's Zakat, Ushr, Sadaqah or a general gift. We make sure it's spent the way you meant it.
Why "Alif"?
Alif is the first letter of the Arabic alphabet. Every word starts somewhere, and so does every bit of change. One food pack, one water pump, one school fee paid on time.
What we hold ourselves to
- Kindness first. We treat every family the way we'd want our own to be treated on their worst day.
- No one is a photo-op. We don't post faces or names without permission, and we never use someone's hardship for clicks.
- Straight answers. Ask us where your money went and we'll tell you. If we don't know yet, we'll say so.
- Zakat kept separate. Restricted gifts have their own ledger. They're never used to cover anything else.
Who we answer to
We'll publish our registration and governance details here once the paperwork is confirmed. Until then, we won't claim a registration number or tax status we can't show you.
