Donation and refund policy
This page explains what happens to your gift.
Gifts to a campaign
When you choose a campaign, your donation is recorded against it. If that campaign is fully funded or can't go ahead, general gifts go to the closest similar work in the same country, and we say so when we report.
Zakat and Ushr
- Held in separate restricted funds, never combined with general funds.
- Zakat is only accepted for campaigns confirmed as Zakat-eligible. [Name of the scholar or committee and the eligibility criteria, to be confirmed before launch.]
- If a restricted gift can't be used as intended, we'll contact you about moving it or refunding it.
Running costs
[The foundation's policy on running costs, including whether any part of a donation pays for administration and whether Zakat is ever used for it, to be confirmed and published.]
Fees
Nothing is added to your donation at checkout.
Refunds
If you made a mistake, contact us within [30] days with your reference. Refunds go back to your original payment method, and they count as done once our payment provider confirms them.
Receipts and tax
You'll get an email receipt for every confirmed donation. We don't currently claim your gift is tax-deductible anywhere, unless a confirmed statement appears on this site.
