Why we started Alif Foundation

Every charity says it wants to change lives. We wanted to start somewhere smaller and more honest: one family at a time.

We named the foundation after Alif, the first letter of the Arabic alphabet, because every word begins with it. Big change begins the same way, with one food pack, one water pump, one school fee paid before a child has to leave class.

What we promise you

• Your gift goes to the campaign you choose.
• Zakat and Ushr are kept in their own funds and only spent where they're allowed.
• We won't publish numbers we can't back up.
• We won't use anyone's suffering as a photo opportunity.

Thank you for being here. If you have questions, our door (and WhatsApp) is always open.
